Departmental Events

Departmental events are planned and promoted exclusively by a university department.

Event Classification

Operations and Reservations is located in Suite 101 of the Campus Center.  This area is responsible for approving campus wide reservations. For information, regarding reserving space on campus, departments must utilize the 25Live reservation system and processing request by clicking the SUBMIT EVENT button.

Student organizations must work along with the Student Life department via Highlander hub www.highlanderhub.com and non-NJIT affiliates should work with the conference services department at https://strategicevents.njit.edu/ click the APPLICATION link to inquire about space rental.

Operations and Reservations is responsible for reserving the following areas:

  • Campus Center Building (with the exception of the gameroom)
  • Outdoor areas (3rd floor CTR Terrace, East Plaza, West Plaza, Summit Street, Green, Village Green, Lower Green, Laurel Central King Building Multipurpose Room 116
  • Selected academic classrooms
  • Eberhardt Hall
  • Wellness and Event Center

How to Schedule Departmental Events

Step 1: Reserve Event Space

  • Reserve event space via 25Live: 25Live Reservation Portal

  • Conduct a venue walkthrough and define logistics/setup timeline (recommended one month prior).

Step 2: Determine Floor Plan Diagram/Room Layout
Step 3: Schedule Campus Support Services (if applicable)
Step 4: Additional Items (linens, signage, student assistance)

  • Request additional items via University Supplies / Equipment Form

  • Coordinate any requested Campus Support Services/Resources with respective departments

  • Review final event logistics and venue setup prior to the event.
